How do you feel about performing in Bangalore for the first time?
I was thrilled to perform in Bangalore for the first time and share my music with my incredible fans in South India. The energy and passion of my fans here are truly inspiring, and the energy was next level. I was humbled and honoured to receive so much love from Bengaluru.
You have been having quite a lot of connect with India, is there any specific reason?
Reason is simple – I love India and now it’s like my second home and my Indian family and friends are now connected to my heart and soul.
What inspires your music?
For me everyday something new is inspirational. Even when I wake up the first ray of sunshine inspires me. I like to find inspiration in everyday moments.
Do you feel the Indian audience is different from Korean audiences or other countries?
There are many similarities and many differences also. Main difference is expression of love and energy which is very high in the Indian audience .
Have you tried out any Indian food or have had any interesting cultural experiences in India?
I have been in India for more than a year now and I love Indian food and culture . I keep trying new things and look forward to new cultural experiences.
How did it feel to be on Bigg Boss?
It was a great learning experience. I learned a lot, enjoyed a lot and evolved a lot.
Which of your singles is your favourite and why?
I love all but my favourite is ‘Love is right’ . It was also the first song I performed in India and have a lot of memories associated with it .
How do you think Korean pop culture, especially K-Pop and K-Dramas, influenced Indian fans and their entertainment choices?
I don’t think I can comment on how Indian choices are affected. All I can say is that K-pop and K-drama content are globally loved because of the visuals and fantasy factor they present and people love it.
What are some of the challenges and opportunities for Korean bands and artists when they perform in India?
Challenge is primarily language as many Koreans are not fluent in English. Also India is a very diverse country with many cultures and languages and without in depth understanding of all, it’s not possible to do justice to the audience here.
What are your future plans?
I’m working on many collaborations. Please look forward to many interesting projects from my side.
