Bangalore based designer brand Krishnamani is known for bringing to life long-forgotten weaves and motifs has launched a collection in enchanting Kanjeevaram, laden with Zari work.

Reviving the dying tradition of royal weaves bearing the crest and life of the erstwhile Mysore kingdom of Southern India. The brand started out as a personal project with a goal of restoring heritage saris. Then the entire focus shifted to creating a line that is exclusively dedicated to upcycled drapes.

The designer’s philosophy is based on amalgamating traditional Indian art with a contemporary outlook. You can expect to find rich textiles, bold colours. & fine embroidery weaving unique stories. Each collection uses textiles from a corner of India, steeped in tradition. An ensemble of lehengas, sarees, jackets, straight kurtas, and trousers weave together the wardrobe. Label Krishnamani is a luxury brand known for restoring heritage saris. You can also upcycle your drapes – from sarees to a range of separates, find bold and eclectic mix of motifs, colours, fabrics and silhouettes in Indian wear, honouring cultural identities of India’s weaving communities, Indigenous design elements and their cross-over to western ready-to-wear ensembles.

Comfortable, Sustainable, Everyday Wear

STUDIO 183 by Jignesha Acharya is a women-led clothing brand founded recently in 2020, offering collections of timeless fundamentals that transcend seasons and trends. The label features an explosion of colours, and a lively celebration of designs, elegant throughout the day, to cater to women of the modern era.

With contemporary styles in breathable fabrics that would last you longer, Studio 183 aims to slow down the fast pace of today’s dynamic fashion industry, with garments that are mindful, meaningful, and designed to make you feel dressed up every day, whether you’re hustling at work or enjoying a balmy afternoon. They make sure that you’re celebrating every moment of it while looking your best. With minimal fits and classic styles, each garment is a result of meticulous craftwork, hence an ethical work environment for each of the designers and karigars.

Jignesha states, “I started my business during the Pandemic. Time is the most precious thing on earth, and we should invest in it wisely. When COVID happened, nobody knew what they were going to do. As an entrepreneur you are disciplined to find solutions not just for today but long term, thinking about what will make you successful down the line, given all of the crazy circumstances and how fast everything can change. The onset of the pandemic prompted me to start my own brand – Studio 183 where we create mindful designs catering to woman from the age 17 to 50 years with a focus on quality, comfort and sustainability. We believe in providing innovative ways to our consumers along with upholding the highest ethical and environmental standards. A big part of mindful fashion is post sale garment life and care. Our clothes are made to last year after year, thus staying true to its quality. When I started my Studio, I was anxious, but with a great support team, my brand efforts have been multiplied. Here’s a small motivational message to all the small business owners, “Do not over think. Just start. Don’t let your fears and limiting beliefs get in the way of living your dream”.”
