HOW WOULD YOU DEFINE YOURSELF?
I would define myself as an actor with skills and integrity, which is actually an important thing in every human being. It’s a blessing to have skills. I wouldn’t say I’m a master of everything but a jack of all trades.

YOUR THOUGHTS ON BEING A THEATRE ARTIST?
Theatre is a beautiful medium. It is driven completely by passion. It’s performed live and there’s a magic to that — something you don’t find in many other art forms.

YOUR DEFINITION OF FUN?
To me fun is actually multiple layers of emotion. Everything is fun to me, but I wouldn’t appreciate when someone makes fun of someone’s appearance or character.

YOUR OPINION ON THE ROLES YOU GET?
I don’t take up roles that aren’t substantial. Roles that anybody can do. I consciously reject roles that do not excite me.

IF NOT ACTING AS YOUR CAREER, YOU WOULD?
There wasn’t a plan B. It was always just plan A and fighting to execute it.

YOUR FAVOURITE MOVIE TILL DATE AND WHY?
There isn’t any particular favorite movie; it’s just genres that I love. I love mindless comedies, like the ones Kamal Hassan makes. I would definitely say I’m a huge fan of Rajinikanth and his movies, though.

YOUR DREAM ROLE?
I always wanted to do a comedy-action role like Jackie Chan. I haven’t seen many doing that after him.

YOUR UPCOMING PROJECTS?
I have signed few projects which will be releasing in couple of months.

YOUR OPINION ON HOW WOMEN ARE POTRAYED IN MOVIES?
It has changed a lot. I was really disappointed earlier in the kind of roles women received. It’s definitely getting better these days.

WHAT DOES PRIDE MEAN TO YOU?
The excitement and happiness that the audience has during my show is absolute Pride to me. Also staying alone with no background support and paying your own bills — that struggle is Pride to me.
