Boston Common & Public Garden

Boston Common, one of the significant landmarks dotting the Freedom Trail, is the USA’s first public park, dating back to 1634, and has witnessed everything from colonial meetings to modern-day gatherings. Each season brings a different flavour to Boston Common with flower-laden open lawns, tree-lined paths, festivals during spring and summer, while fall captures one of the best places to bask in Boston’s breathtaking foliage. And in winter, catch ice skaters gliding across the Frog Pond silhouetted by the city’s wintry backdrop. Cross Charles Street to the Victorian-style Public Garden for a classic Boston moment from riding the Swan Boats in spring and summer, photographing the Make Way for Ducklings statues, or capturing the Washington statue against the city skyline, for a memory to preserve for a lifetime.

Quincy Market

Located right beside the Freedom Trail is Quincy Market, the city’s first food hall, known for classic New England bites like clam chowder or a buttery lobster roll. Boston Tea Party Experience

The Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum brings to life the events of December 16, 1773, when colonists disguised as Native Americans boarded British ships and dumped 342 chests of tea into the harbour in protest of taxation without representation. Explore replica ships, participate in reenactments, and engage with exhibits that immerse you in this pivotal moment in American history. Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum also showcases a live theatrical performance reenacting the “single most important event leading up to the American Revolution”, with state-of-the-art technology and an original tea crate from the Boston Tea Party in 1773. Located in the middle of Fort Point Channel along Boston Harbor, the site also offers breathtaking waterfront and cityscape views.

Boston Public Library

Steeped in history, the Boston Public Library is the USA’s first public library, founded in 1848 and is a showpiece of art and architecture. Walk up the marble stairs guarded by carved lions, admire murals by John Singer Sargent, and explore the Italianate courtyard and fountain. Step inside Bates Hall, where green-shaded lamps glow beneath the barrel-vaulted ceiling, and take in the awe-inspiring atmosphere.

Fenway Park
