Supercars have long been associated with endless power and style but more than that, the driving experience that they bring is something else. Supercars feel different and also have a distinct personality which separates them for other cars. Here we drive the most iconic supercars in India for a review unlike any other.

Porsche 911 GTS
The 911 is one of the most talked about names in the world of supercars and everyone knows about this car. The Porsche 911 has been around for ages and it is continuously honed plus tweaked while there are various configurations to match your driving style. However, the new 911 GTS is perhaps the biggest change for this car since there is hybrid power for the first time being added. This is purely done to further increase the response in terms of the power delivery and add more sharpness. As a result, the iconic flat six is future proofed and Porsche will keep making this car even in today’s electrified era. The GTS hybrid is loud as well and sounds brutal with its exhaust note having a high pitched tone. The flat six loves to sing it seems and you enjoy hearing it even more. While the ride quality is firm, it’s driveable on our roads but the steering is something which transmits all of the sensations from the car beautifully. As a result, the characteristic 911 driving experience is now enhanced further with the GTS and it is raw, sharp but also beautifully judged in its handling. The classic 911 silhouette is also maintained and it continues to look stunning while the GTS adds some touches. It’s a 911 that has embraced a hybrid but done so in its own style. The GTS sits above the standard 911 models and below the more track focussed GT3 range of cars but could be the ideal 911 for India.

Aston Martin Vantage
The most famous secret agent in the world loves this car and you should too as the Aston Martin Vantage remains the most dynamic car from their stables. The Vantage is more of a sports car rather than a GT which means it is a V8 beast with a sharper focus towards driver engagement. It looks low, wide and has a purposeful stance while the compact dimensions further adds muscle. Inside, it is also about a luxury interior mixed with technology as Aston Martin has improved their in car features. However, the best bit is firing the V8 as then the Vantage is loud and you will go deaf with its menacing exhaust note. The V8 burble is one thing as the driving experience is laced with the same edgy focus and you have to tame this supercar as it is playful but also demanding from the driver. On our Indian roads, the Vantage can be driven and it’s compact size means handling is on point as well. Overall, it’s a symphony of V8 sound and an old school supercar.
