Lamborghini’s flagship supercar roars in

The Revuelto is the dawn of a new era for this revered brand and that is because it is its first electrified flagship yet while keeping the V12 alive. It is the fastest Lamborghini and one of the most powerful cars that you can get in India. The powertrain and the edgy styling are what draws you in with this new supercar. It develops more than a 1000 bhp yet is also a plug-in hybrid with a tinge of electrification creeping to the Lamborghini recipe. It is hugely quick as you would expect with a V12 along with three electric motors gunning for utmost power.

The other crucial bit is the new naturally aspirated V12 which is yet another facet of the brand which has been duly preserved. The Revuelto will rocket to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and will reach a top-speed of 350 km/h with being more of a fighter jet. It also looks like one with an angry stare plus its layered design dripping with the extreme Lamborghini design language.

There are a lot of Y-shaped and hexagonal elements while the traditional Lamborghini doors that go upwards are of course still there as it should be. Inside it is a tech fest with loads of screen along with the same design philosophy as the exterior. It all feels fighter jet like on the inside and there are bigger screens plus better ergonomics.

This new flagship Lamborghini is more comfortable and has more technology while still maintaining its essence- which is a wild supercar. Compared to the earlier Aventador, the Revuelto is much lighter and uses more exotic materials in its construction along with better aero efficiency. Hence, it is the fastest and the most extreme Lamborghini yet, also having the most advanced technology, while being drop-dead gorgeous too.

Bentley Bentayga EWB Azure is here

Bentley is known for making luxury cars with a sporting bent but the Bentayga EWB Azure takes things to a new level with even more space and comfort mixed in. The Bentayga is already a vast luxury SUV but the EWB is even longer. Bentley has added 180mm to the wheelbase and it all goes into making the rear seat as spacious as it can get. Honestly, it is even better than a private jet here with a huge amount of space to stretch out as you are surrounded by a luxurious blend of materials. Of course, with a longer rear door and more space, reaching out to close the said door is also undignified and that is cured by a button to close them.

That is not all as the Bentayga EWB gets a lot of gadgets to pamper the rear seat passengers with a special Airline seat which electronically adjusts in 22 different ways. Everything is controlled via a removable tablet while the seats itself are some of the comfiest ones that we have tested. It is sumptuous and it even adjusts the climate control according to your body temperature while also minutely adjusting the position for utmost comfort.

Not only that as in the ‘relax mode’ the seat can recline to 40 degrees, whilst the passenger seat is motored forwards and a leather-trimmed footrest deploys from the back of the front passenger seat. In Business Mode, the seat moves into its most upright position. Elsewhere, it is a traditional Bentley with superb craftsmanship with the Bentley Diamond Illumination (where light is emitted through small perforations in the soft feel door trim) or even the optional ‘Metal Overlay in Veneer. Upfront the Bentayga is a proper Bentley with a lot of chrome, leather and metal covering every surface of the interior. It is luxurious of course but the attention to detail is separates this car from the rest.

The Bentayga EWB Azure is meant for a select few and is primarily a chauffeur driven car but you would also love driving it. The V8 that is standard in this car lets out a dignified burble at start and you would soon forget just how massive this car is in terms of the driving experience. The introduction of all-wheel steering further makes it much easier to drive than what its huge proportions suggest. While it may seem intimidating to drive due to its sheer girth, the EWB is actually easier to drive than the standard model.

With this model, you do not hear anything while on the move with road noise or any noise being suppressed. It is a sporting limousine and that makes a lot of sense for those who like driving but on most days are also being driven around. It is the best of both worlds but also very expensive at Rs 6 crore and is priced at a premium over other luxury SUVs but a driver shows why!
