Can you share the challenges you faced while preparing for your role as Home Minister and how you overcame them?
I was very nervous to act in front of big artists like Upendra, Suman Ranganathan and others. But all of them supported me very much and made me feel comfortable, and I was able to give my best.
Acting is often a challenging field to break into. What struggles did you encounter in your journey to becoming a successful actress, and how did you navigate through them?
Coming from a middle-class family with no family background, I had to go through a lot of rejection and people speaking behind my back, but I was always positive and believed in myself, and with God’s grace, I could reach where I am.
Could you share a specific incident or challenge that tested your determination, and what advice would you give to newcomers facing similar situations?
Presently I am playing the character of a journalist in my upcoming film which is women-oriented. The character goes through a lot of problems in her life which she faces boldly and achieves her dream so it’s very close to my heart. To all youngsters out there I would advise them to be patient and positive in whatever they are doing and constantly keep working on it no matter what happens.
Being a part of the film industry, you must have faced intense competition. How do you stay motivated and focused amidst the competitive nature of the entertainment business?
Self-motivation is very important I always indulge myself in yoga and working out in the gym which helps to keep the focus on my work.
Could you give us a glimpse into your upcoming roles and projects that your fans can look forward to?
Presently, I am playing an important character in a Tamil serial called Karthigai Deepam apart from that I am also doing a couple of films. I can’t share too much about those films yet. I’m also reading a few scripts besides these films that we are shooting currently.
Can you share a valuable lesson you’ve learned during your acting career that has helped you grow personally and professionally?
I always keep my mind open to learning new things. I believe in constant learning. Also focussing on yourself and your growth is very important.
How do you manage to maintain a work-life balance and pursue your passion for acting effectively?
When I am working I am fully focused on what I am doing and when I get back home from work I don’t carry any work pressure. Yoga has helped me a lot in that matter and whenever I find time, I hang out with my friends and have a good time.
Is there a particular role or genre that you are eager to explore in the future, something that you haven’t done yet but would love to portray on screen?
I want to play the character of Anushka Shetty in Arundhati. It was such a powerful character and she gave an outstanding performance.
What message would you like to convey to aspiring actors and individuals who dream of making it big in the film industry, based on your own experiences and achievements?
A lot of patience is required to constantly work on yourself.
