Actor Sobhita Dhulipala was in Bengaluru for the launch of Caprisa, an Italian bag brand and she looked stunning in a white pant suit.

The artiste, who’s known for slaying both western and traditional attire with equal panache, admits that she’s been exploring her Andhra roots more passionately when it comes to fashion. “Recently, someone told me that until my wedding, most people were not exposed to which culture I come from because people had consumed me in Hindi roles. I’d always embraced where I come from – I’d seen my mother, relatives and teachers and my culture had become part of my life without me realising it. But I realised that until I carry it more prominently, people wouldn’t know where I’m from, so I started embracing it with more fervour. I used to post about my Telugu roots before as well, but now I’ve been doing it like never before,” said Sobhita.

As for her cinematic projects, Sobhita reveals that her upcoming project is the Tamil film Vettuvam directed by Pa Ranjith. “I believe it’s my best work till date. It’s an extraordinary film, and I’m very excited for people to watch it and see me in it. I will be seen in a totally crazy avatar. The film is going to have action, dance, and it’s going to be apocalyptic. It’s set across different time periods, has high drama and high adrenaline,” reveals Sobhita, adding that it’s going to have her in a role that audiences have never seen her in before.

When picking roles, Sobhita reveals, “I look for characters that really move me.”
