One of the renowned Sports mat brand in India – Gravolite has extended support to Indian Cancer Society, Delhi by donating yoga mats on the occasion of International Yoga Day which is celebrated every year on 21st June. The Yoga mats provided were a combination of adult mats and children mats, with the objective that physical and mental healing go side by side. Yoga is a spiritual discipline which creates harmony between mind and body and has immense benefits.
Yoga Day which is celebrated in the month of June every year, was first proposed by Our Honorable Prime Minister, Narendra Modi during his speech at United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on 27th September 2014. Vaibhav Somani, Director, Gravolite said, “The Covid-19 pandemic has made us realise that we all are connected and this entire nation is our family and we must help each other in all possible ways. We have donated Yoga mats to Indian Cancer Society to help adults and children at their multiple centres to practice yoga. Mr. Somani further said that we are inspired by the vision of our Prime Minister to take yoga at an international level and create Aatmanirbhar Bharat and encourage Fit India movement”.
