1. What is the story behind the brand Relaxaa Home Textiles and what inspired you to enter the fashion and textiles industry?
    We started out in the early 1980s and produced the nation’s best yarn and other raw material in the textile segments and after a great deal of experience and goodwill that was garnered in the marketplace we planned to make some finished goods out of our produce. That is the story behind our establishing Relaxaa Home Textiles Pvt Ltd.

    A bug of making a forward integration into fashion and comfort fabrics and other textile products is the catalyst for us to get into creating an everlasting brand called Relaxaa.
  3. What was the vision behind introducing bamboo fabric and TC 400 Egyptian cotton in your product line? How do these materials add value to your shirts?
    Bamboo fabric material gives the best soothing experience in a bed sheet and that was the one compelling factor for us to go for it and get on with a manufacturing plan. It is a proud feeling to bring the best of breed products to the discerning Indian client as well as clients in the western and eastern world alike.

    We took the ethnicity on the urban population for their taste on decorating their living spaces with the right products and the personal products too; we then embarked on the best range of bed sheets and shirts we could think of.

    Our quality is top class with the best of the manufacturing facilities that we have nurtured over the last four decades and spared no effort or cost to bring the best quality products to the marketplace that will leave a lasting impression in the minds of our esteemed clients so that they come back to us for the products again and again.
  6. What challenges did you face while establishing Relaxaa Home Textiles, and how did you overcome them?
    The usual stigma that there are hundreds and thousands of cheaper existing product lines and also the tough situation to enter a crowded market and yet capture market share and then last there for a time to come. But we were easily able to win over some good biz in the first year itself with:
  • A sale of Rs 5.8 crores turnover in the last 10 months.
  • A footprint in the UAE market through the Dubai Sleep Expo.
  • Bharat Tex participation to support our system and introduce quality bedsheets at more affordable pricing.
  1. In a competitive market, how do you ensure Relaxaa Home Textiles stands out in terms of quality and style?
    Our product range increased from 3 to 8 in the last 10 months and is likely to add another 3-4 in the next 3-4 months. Our complete home textile range will be increased in the next 12 months along with men’s wear with exclusive premium cotton shirts and linen shirts. Hence our constant endeavour in making new products being rolled out periodically is what would make us stand out in the crowded market already, with our long-lasting client base we have built with our yarn and other raw material products.

    It has an enormous bearing on our forward plans as we fervently believe that the client feedback is the driving factor for continual betterment.

    We are expanding geographically in a chronological manner from South India, then Western Region and North and North East and whereas we are also expanding rapidly in the Middle East and Sri Lanka with representatives already working for us in these regions. Thereafter we are planning to expand into ASEAN. And then on to Europe.
