Grand Mercure Bengaluru at Gopalan Mall serves the community amidst the second wave of Covid-19. Sachin Maheshwary, General Manager, Grand Mercure Bengaluru Gopalan Mall distributed wholesome meals to the elderly and kids of nearby slums.

Amidst the second wave of Covid-19, Grand Mercure Bengaluru at Gopalan Mall once again reached out to the community around to support the ones in need. The team connected with and assisted covid caregivers and front-line warriors, including volunteers at the nearby health centres and police officers of the circle who are relentlessly working towards ensuring a safe environment. The hotel has also partnered with World Hunger Warriors – a non-profit organisation with a vision to create a hunger free world, to provide wholesome meals to the children and the elderly of the nearby slums. “At the hotel, we firmly believe that small acts of kindness together can make a big difference.” said Sachin Maheshwary, General Manager. During the lockdown, the team at Grand Mercure Bengaluru have contributed relentlessly to the community through meal drives for construction workers, virtual mentorship programmes for upcoming hoteliers and much more.

In addition to the efforts to aid the community, the hotel has also launched ‘Care Dabba’, a covid care meal subscription plan to cater to the growing requirements for clean, hygienic, and simple nutritious meals for those recovering from covid-19. The initiative promotes healthy balanced meals prepared, packed and delivered whilst adhering to global standards of safety & hygiene – as outlined by Accor’s ALLSafe Guidelines for quarantined individuals at a subsidised price.
