Her cat eyes and lissome fit frame catch our attention as soon as she enters the room filled with glittering jewels, as she easily steals the attention from these rare gems around. We caught up with Shraddha Kapoor, one of the most popular and highest-paid stars in the country on her visit to Bangalore to launch a jewellery store.

The daughter of actor Shakti Kapoor, who began her acting career with Teen Patti, made her mark in the industry with a spate of films like Luv Ka The End, Aashiqui 2, Haider, Ek Villain, ABCD 1 and 2, Baaghi, Stree, Saaho with south Indian sensation Prabhas, Chhichhore and others. She is also blessed with the voice of an angel, has some many songs for her movies and also runs her own line of clothing.

What is your fitness routine like?
I have always been into sports since an early age, and I work out at the gym five days a week. I also dance a lot which helps in burning calories. Further, I enjoy doing pilates, yoga and aerobics too. I would like to tell every woman that only a fit body can house a healthy mind. It is crucial to eat a healthy and balanced diet, avoid overeating processed foods, keeping yourself well hydrated and exercising every day.

What’s your style mantra?
My style mantra is to keep it simple and wear only what makes me comfortable and confident. Of course for our movies we wear whatever our role demands.

And your beauty regime?
As a part of my beauty regime, I drink at least 3-4 litres of water to detoxify my system. It also keeps me well hydrated. Another thing that I always do is to apply a sunscreen lotion before going out in the sun. Whenever I am not shooting, I prefer to go for a no-makeup look.

Some essentials that are always in your bag?
Kajal, lip gloss, shades and a book.

How do you like to associate with the brands you work with?
I associate brands that are aspirational, vibrant, and the ones I can personally relate to. They have to be trendy, adaptable designs that compliment every dress and occasion. I love to work with brands that reflect my own personality.

Yoga or gym?
Mix of both.

Indian food or global cuisine?
Indian food.

Beaches or hills?
Beaches.
