The Leela Bhartiya City Bengaluru rang in the merry mood of the season with the age-old tradition of cake mixing, at their gorgeous pool side overlooking the manicured lawns and the beautiful water bodies of the Bhartiya City. To celebrate the beginning of the joyous festive season, the hotel organised this traditional ceremony started back in the 17th century to commemorate the arrival of the harvest season.

The fun-filled ceremony was attended by patrons, in-house guests, and friends of the brand. The beautiful adornments, the red and white theme added to the festive charm.

In keeping with the tradition, the hotel organised more than 200 kgs of dry fruits such as cashews, raisins, and almonds, nutmeg, and other spices, mixed with some of the finest rums and other alcohol for the ultimate decadent batter. The mix will then be stored for a few weeks before it is baked into the indulgent Christmas fruit cake.

“The annual tradition of cake-mixing is an event to welcome the festival everyone has been waiting for, the entire year. The event is all about celebrating togetherness and joy. It was an opportunity for us to connect with the guests and create an unforgettable experience for them to cherish,” said Virender Razdan, General Manager at The Leela Bhartiya City Bengaluru.
